RD2K Properties was formed by Rob and Denise and their very good friend Diana in 2015. As a Designer, Denise is in homes of all styles and sizes on a daily basis. With the Denver Real Estate market being as crazy as it is, she noticed how many investors were jumping on “flips” but mostly for the lower priced home market. Investor teams have been turning average, dated homes into beautiful show pieces on a budget for years. She noticed homes in the higher end markets also need much updating but on a larger scale. Through her research she found most homeowners spending $500,000 plus on a home are looking for turnkey. The thought of updating a 3000 sf plus home is overwhelming for many. Denise and Rob see beyond outdated cabinets and flooring and cosmetic disasters. They want to bring out the homes natural character and restore the love that often goes with a custom home in our beautiful Colorado surroundings. Diana has been working with Rob and Denise on her personal homes and investment homes for over 15 years. When discussions began around buying custom homes that have been neglected and bringing life back to them, she knew her next investment property was going to be this! Together they share their talents, passions and love for Custom and Unique!

The housing market in Denver right now is nuts. Finding ANY home can be tough and finding an affordable home is even tougher. I had been looking for the right remodel project for over a year. Fortunately I enjoy the looking and the researching it takes to find that diamond in the rough so it was never a chore. We wanted to find a home with good construction bones that just needed to be brought to life with the help of a designer’s eye and a contractor’s touch. Add to that location, location, location and wallah! We found the perfect project! This home just needed some updating (ok…a lot of updating), a better color palette, a few structural changes and a whole lot of love. It’s location in our opinion is perfect for both Mountain and City lifestyles. Sitting at an elevation of close to 7300 feet, it has the views, clean air, wildlife and peace and calmness of mountain living. Yet only 2 miles from the freeway and 20 minutes to the city, you have all the amenities and conveniences of city living. Pricing of course was a big factor. This home was not a foreclosure however was extremely competitively priced for the area. We knew by bringing in RDK Design and Build’s team of contractors to help with updates, adding additional square footage with a few structural changes, finishing the basement, and incorporating well thought out, high end Design’s introducing unique product selections…we could turn this house from less than ordinary to EXTRAordinary!
