The housing market in Denver right now is nuts. Finding ANY home can be tough and finding an affordable home is even tougher. I had been looking for the right remodel project for over a year. Fortunately I enjoy the looking and the researching it takes to find that diamond in the rough so it was never a chore. We wanted to find a home with good construction bones that just needed to be brought to life with the help of a designer’s eye and a contractor’s touch. Add to that location, location, location and wallah! We found the perfect project! This home just needed some updating (ok…a lot of updating), a better color palette, a few structural changes and a whole lot of love. It’s location in our opinion is perfect for both Mountain and City lifestyles. Sitting at an elevation of close to 7300 feet, it has the views, clean air, wildlife and peace and calmness of mountain living. Yet only 2 miles from the freeway and 20 minutes to the city, you have all the amenities and conveniences of city living. Pricing of course was a big factor. This home was not a foreclosure however was extremely competitively priced for the area. We knew by bringing in RDK Design and Build’s team of contractors to help with updates, adding additional square footage with a few structural changes, finishing the basement, and incorporating well thought out, high end Design’s introducing unique product selections…we could turn this house from less than ordinary to EXTRAordinary!
